      Joshua Keyth Benjamin

      Hassan Badshah

As a toddler, Joshua Keyth Benjamin, would remain fascinated by the music during the visits to the church. At home, he would keenly observe his father, Samuel Benjamin – trained by Master Sadiq Ali – play the piano. By the time he was eight, he picked up the keyboard and started training under the strict eye of his father. Fast-forward some years, he ironically became the choir director at the same church – St. Andrews – that first inspired him.

Devoted to music full-time, Joshua has played sessions with Ahmed Jahanzaib, Sajjad Ali and Ali Zafar. He has also contributed to the songs featured in the film ‘Mah-e-Mir’ (2016) and the background score of ‘Hijrat’ (2016). This year, Joshua Keyth Benjamin will feature on Coke Studio, Season 9 for the first time as a guest musician.
